This is the first time ever I was terminate without notice by employer. I had been working for 1 years 9 months and this happen when I received e-mail from my boss about 9pm Tuesday 05 Nov 2013. I tried to call my boss immediately twice but he did not pick up my calls so I left him a voice mail. The e-mail said that I do not need to report to work anymore, tomorrow need to return the pass and key to the office and he is an smaller director instructed by bigger director to received it. Actually my company is so small that right now there is only three person, one big director, one small director, one secretary, if my another colleague had left after I been sacked to form a registered company as private limited. My past company does not have an actual office, that address to my office belong to the bigger director house.

So on Wednesday morning I call up my office, so she pick up which is the secretary to call up bigger director to return my call. So the bigger director meet me up at a place. I pass him the key and pass, and he ask me what is all these key and pass about? So I told him yesterday is already my last day. He told me he had no idea did not know my last day is yesterday. I said when I will receive my last pay. He said he had no info at all let me know next week. So I left. I did not receive a call from my smaller director who he sacked me. On Thursday morning, I made a call to Ministry of Manpower, she ask me a few question and I answer her accordingly and said I must send demand of payment a letter to my company now to ask a month of salary if my job offer letter stated that after I confirmed and working almost 1 year 9 month.

So I type and print out the letter, including my leave which last time my boss send me in an excel file to update if I took any leave and send him e-mail which there is no leave form printed out and sign that kind. I also printed out the e-mail which I had a few chain of e-mail which I tell him about my work problems and he demand me to hand over my work to other colleague to serve notice as last day in 29 Nov 2013 Friday as we both agreed in 04 Nov 2013 night. So as my other colleague refuse to report to another client side at Monday 04 Nov 2013 morning and later my client and demand us an answer. So my colleague answered to him that he is staying with me at another office to learn stuff from me. So he replied please tell him if there is any changes in work schedule in advance. On Tuesday 05 Nov 2013, my colleague did not bring some system out and I need to learn from me how to deploy and left the office quite early like 3.30pm. I already having difficulty as he is really doing nothing as yesterday and today to hand over my duties before my last day. So I send e-mail to by boss which is my smaller director I having problem as he is doing nothing so some task I not able to carry out till the last day as we agreed so I propose if my colleague keep on doing nothing then I have to request my last day to me put earlier like 11 Nov 2013 Monday. So end up I was terminated without notice at night 9pm.

My colleague is my boss long time friends, so he join us at last year nov start as I manage to serve this client as ad hoc basis and they are looking someone which is better that me not only in technical but also soft skills like PR in a funds managing company which I sub con for IT services. My first day with this company is 01 March 2012 since I serving two clients include this. As they demand many urgent and lot of help, I send e-mail to my boss and my boss show this client an e-mail and they sign an agreement to provide half a day help which he charge quite a bit high to this client from Oct 2012 to end of Sep 2013. My colleague slowly step in to serve this client a bit and slowly at End Jan 2013 he is fully taken over this client.

My pay increase in Mar 2013 as another client move to a bigger office and the food there are more expensive since Mid Feb 2013 after Chinese New year. They are going ad hoc basics to one full day manpower till end of this year before they deciding to renew our contract next year. So I excepted to fully use my personal mobile phone, my personal laptop and excepted more travelling involved between both office one central which trains can reach easy and one far away in remote places to walk long and take only one bus services to go there. I have no allowances at all so they increase my pay a bit like that to cover that much.

After that I had been difficulty taking leave, end up I taking medical leave better. If I take leave, they will call my personal mobile as there is no helpdesk or office number for urgent help quite frequently even they know I on leave. I had to help them over the phone and need to remote in to their system using free resources online like teamviewer which result spend more time like at home support them compare to onsite or in their office. My boss normally do not inform many of my client quite well and I sometimes ask my colleague to help but end up sometimes he is not at my client offices when I on leave so this end up in complaints getting bigger as no one onsite. I told my boss a few times if there is no one at my client offices he need to goes there onsite and ask if there is any support needed and tell my client in charge I on leave but so far a few times he did not do it even once and I tell them off they are simply absence from work. I understand that my boss had another big client to work for 2 full days and recently a few months ago he manage to change to 4 half days so he had more free time to run more sites or project. Some of my client in charge of our project had said before Mar2013 that since the company is growing and moving to new place the contract may not last long and will not know when our contract is up for a small company of ours.

My colleague come to office always wear t shirt, jeans with slippers not even covered shoes very untidy not like me. As he move out from his house to rent a room very expensive near to city with his girlfriend from Japan since last year Dec for a year tenant contract. So he is not so good as my family to do much laundry, to iron wear long pants with polo shirt and a covered shoes at least. He took a lot of MC and spending long time seeing waiting in clinic to see doctor from morning almost noon then tell us he is out of clinic. So my boss sometimes tell him to afternoon go and work and many times he said is very sick can support remote and phone. So end up the same issue half a day no one onsite like my client here. He left office quite early about 4pm or 4.30pm to do laundry at home and even let his client knows about it. Sometimes I know if I not wrong he cannot stay a bit late at before 5pm he rush for lessons to learn japan language in evening every Thursday and some other weekdays from Great World City to Orchard just a 10 minutes or less of taking a bus to arrived. He at rented room do not do much cooking like me almost every morning my mum made a 3 slices of bread put butter and kaya and I drink coffee my parents boiled every morning without fail a single day early morning. He is eating too much outside food like many hawker centre tasty food not healthy not much exercise physically like me and also learn music so taking many mc. My mum cook often at night and I come home eat dinner healthy foods half bowl rice or a bit, big bowl of soup, meat, fish, vegetables.

So end up my colleague at start sep 2013 loss the contract of his client taken over by another company to provide them IT support. At start Oct my boss want to speak to me on phone as he did not want to meet me in office in weekday. So I end up my night class in part time degree, drive my family car home as my elder sister gone for US holiday for two weeks to left behind the car. I speak to my boss for 40 minutes till quite late at home. At morning, I need to talk to him about my plan so meet him next week to send him e-mail. He wants me to find some business like ad hoc, half or one man power if not next year we will down size. He replied my e-mail said these few weeks he is busy with his clients not able to advise another day and time to meet and talk for a time being. So I replied that let talk about my last day in next month or Dec or latest next year Jan. So he wrote let make last day in 31 Dec as expected to count my bonus.

In the end, I received my last pay, in Nov 2013 pay roll, with 3 days work, 15 days annual leave and 1 month pay. So end up if this year a few hundreds dollars of OT, I am getting near 2 months and bank in already well. I looking for job, went for two companies interview, one job agent interview since last week and now. Next week Monday to Thursday each day got one interview for four companies. I working in 2012 and 2013 per year I earning gross income of 29K not near 30K if this month my job not started. But I have many credit cards and credit lines and spend a lot also. But I have no worries as I working close to 6 years in IT support as system infrastructure plus this cert just received as last my previous post so can ask a bit higher. In the letter my company ask me to sign if my last pay is correct, and wrote I was terminated due to non performance, not on time in attendance in my work, not provide work, not proper work attitudes to his clients some more. So I scan all these letters, including his e-mail from my boss, annual leave in excel file to worker union with pay slip and wrote that if they want to pursue this company after this it will be the worker union own concession as it had nothing to do with me once the last pay I able to received in my bank account.

Yesterday afternoon I attended my graduation day with both of my elder sisters. I miss all my classmate as I think I the only person spend money come. Maybe I am the one do did well the rest of my classmate just pass maybe overall. Now I finally wear square hat with mortar grown. My elder sister what the different between the grown of degree holder, she is right to say that only color a bit different. Both of my elder sister graduated in local polytechnic Diploma in Information Technology does not wear grown in graduation day. As of A few month ago I brought their dating packages. It cost S$550 for 5 dates, S$180 for date review, and S$320 for date preparatory course so total damage of S$1050. Edmund arrived at 7.30pm seat at another table near me. The date arrived late almost near to 15 minutes, seat alone at wrong table. Then she come back and sit on the table we start talking and order food, talk and send her the way to bus stop and I left to take train back home.

So about two weeks Jenny call me and arrange another date which I did not even told her I want her to find another date. So Jenny said I need another date review as Edmund said to Jenny which last time Edmund call me for follow up date review and he said if I need can purchase another date review. I told Jenny off that she is simply putting my word on her mouth. So she is asking it is not safe to do fund transfer to her bank account. I can pay online using credit card with a surcharge of extra 4% using paypal. So next day I replied her that I do not want the date review and since that date was going for my next date review I also reject her too. So she call me again persuade me to buy I said I do not want and also the date I rejected. So she said the date is good chosen and there is nothing to be perfect so I agreed to see her in Melilla walk of coffee club.

I come early, she is also late almost 15 minutes. She ask me what I working as. I told her. So she ask my company name. I was shocked. Firstly, even I tell her what is my company name is at no use to her, she does not know for every job that you take there is a job offer letter stating non disclosure agreement. So I told her and I very piss off her. She use mobile phone a few times trying to call some one which I irritated. When order a drink, she told me she does not have a diploma so hop job to gain experience. To me I was thinking about her What a F***. So I ask her why don’t you further study as can take night classes like me. She said very expensive and stressful to handle both work and study. She also share with me she being to some dating agent and found out that this agent charges are cheaper. So I thinking about her this date cannot make it. So when I settling the bill, she ask me how much is the drink. I said I settled the bill and let her know if the waiter given me the receipt. So she take out the wallet hold it in her hand in front of me above the table and the receipt come I told her the price of her drink. Then I look at her and the wallet, and thinking she does not have money to pay so I told her I give her a treat. We did not exchange number and I send her off when we goes off from the restaurant.

So I e-mail to Jenny the dating consultant and make a negative feedback of her. So she call me and I talk to her about 9 minutes becoming unpleasant and I hang the phone told her I very busy now. So she e-mail want me to call back but I refused and reply the call was too unpleasant so call back will make it more worse. So she replied that in my e-mail feedback I using the word “bloody hell” which is nasty improper language and she stated this is the final time if not she will take action. Secondly, the date had sincerely say sorry about the late. Third, the date ask how much as she wanted to pay for the drink. Forth, she is asking my company name to know more about me. Fifth, she find the call is not very unpleasant as she is sorting thing out with my feedback. Six, she said my perspective with this date is too negative as she thinking this date is good for what I told Jenny normally date will come early.

So I replied I want to terminate the membership now and stated if she want to take action legally like going to make police report or lawyer I am fine with it. So she replied she terminated the membership now as my request. I am not going to put this dating agent to court like small claim as the amount recover back is too little for what I paid in total compare to last time it’s just lunch.

So he come in the morning, he put the zhone router there spend an hour time calling to provisioning but cannot get Internet so he left as need to rush off to other appointment. Then I call the technical support a few times and they managed to get the Internet connection and fixed phone line up without the need to arrange another time to swop the zhone router.

So I terminated myrepublic ISP which is using port 1. But I left 10 months to pay as I pay for 2 month for a year contract. So I started this service installed in 15 July 2013 Monday. I e-mail to them to submit an request on 07 Sep 2013 Sat. So they called on Monday said they can allow early termination follow a month notice pro rated charges till last day in 07 Oct 2013 with a termination fee of S$48.15. So I no need to pay another 10 months fee of monthly S$69.

On Tuesday afternoon after than phone call on Monday, I bring down the ONT, free Asus RT-N56U router and voice adaptor to return to them as they need my ONT and router given when I cancel their service before contract end personally to their office. I started my degree course in informatics at 1 July 2013 Monday night. But after I going for three night classes and Friday night I received the e-mail from the school course admin staff there is an change of timetable I got a shocked. So I decided to withdraw from this school and went to other school to study. The e-mail stated that I have 4 Fridays in month of July 2013 and August 2013 extra. So two classes from first week of Sep is removed and the exam week will fall on second week of September 2013 without inform and confirm with any student in advance. The another two classes need to make up as the lecture told us before but the date was not confirm.

The way all the lecturers conduct lessons is not even professional and any proper standard at all. The textbook for the two modules they give me is all PowerPoint slide black and white. They just click on the PowerPoint slide and started lessons over 7.30pm and even 7.35pm instead of 7.15pm. They normally have a break of 20 minutes about 8.30pm so they teach and let you off about 10.15pm to 10.20pm out of the classroom. I do not think informatics Singapore is even Government recognized Edutrust certified. Even informatics said they are Edutrust certified, but if you like my reason in saying why actually they are not you can go to contact us page to put in your request. Then I will send you e-mail attachment of their offer letter. Then you can make claim at http://www.cpe.gov.sg to question them how can this school be Edutrust Cerified?

Their offer letter had no start course date and expected finish course date. There is no course fee in detail and how to pay. They only write I had been accepted into their degree course part time that all. If you going to apply bank loan there is no way the bank will put up the education loan for processing that all. So I had to ask the school course consultant what is the school fee like. So she said the school is offering a grant for this coming intake so their 4 semester course fee each is nearly S$4K  pay just before school term start so add up plus S$107 registration is S$16K. Each semester is 3 months so I should be completed in next Year end June. Each semester got to complete 2 modules, plus final project is double module occupy last two semester. So add up I have 6 core module where 4 modules have exam and a final project. I paid using DBS credit card for 12 months 0% interest installment like each month I pay S$330. they accept other credit card 0% interest installment like OCBC bank for up to 24 months and standard chartered bank for 36 months.

Withdraw also quite hard from this school. I go to school student service counter to submit an request. The staff do not allow me to do so which I fill up the counseling form and within a week the school department head will ask me to see him or her to proceed with withdraw from this school course. After a week I heard no news from them, tried calling the school student services also nobody pick up the phone. Contacted the school course consultant over her phone talk to her and message through and flow she said she will follow up and let me know. As I cannot wait anymore, I go to the cpe web sites as above and call the hotline, the staff ask me to send an e-mail to the school and cc to their contact e-mail http://www.cpe.gov.sg/general/contact-info and she is very sure the school will call me up.

As I send e-mail in the morning, afternoon the school course department head call me so at night I rush down from my workplace to meet the three of them which is another one my course consultant and school course admin. So after the meeting the school course consultant had made the advise to defer my course until Oct then start class again. This is the reason the school had decided that next term they will revert back to the old system of three semester in a year instead of starting this July the degree course part time four semester in a year. I know before that the degree course for this school take 1 year 4 months to complete not 1 year since the new intake July 2013 but I would not know later on for now. I had made payment for S$321 for defer 2 modules to start all over again. The school knows I had accepted in TMC degree course also.

As I successfully applied Education loan from CIMBBANK www.cimbbank.com.sg I started to study in Mid July as I miss two lessons as TMC had started the course earlier which I did not know as they though I defer to next year intake. So I wasted over 4K in informatics degree course in Singapore part time. As I quite settled in 3 weeks of TMC degree course part time. I call up informatics to go to school at night student services counter to submit withdrawal form sign in Tuesday 06 August 2013.
